Jersey City Welcomes riders.
Just a stone's throw away from New York City is the dynamic Jersey City, which recently played host to its first Distinguished Gentlemen Ride (DGR). This exciting charity event was established to spread awareness about men's mental health and prostate cancer research. As the owner of Club Moto, I'm thrilled to share the highlights of this day and the impression it made on our city.
Why Jersey City?
Jersey City was the ideal host for the DGR, thanks to its location and warm community vibe. We aimed to provide an accessible, friendly space for riders, especially those new to the scene who wished to avoid the stress of the NJ and NY tunnels and bridges. Being centrally positioned in North and Central New Jersey, we could reach out to a wider audience, amplifying the message of our cause.
A sensitive topic addressed in Style.
The first DGR in Jersey City was met with overwhelming support from the local community. Riders of all backgrounds united to amplify awareness for men's mental health and prostate cancer research. Over 188 riders signed up, each committed to acknowledging the cause. We were also impressed by the top fundraisers:
William Ferdon, Who collected a stellar $1,531
Donato Ducusin, Who raised a noteworthy $1,401
Joseph Dicristo: Who gathered an admirable $1,330
Their dedication added significant momentum to our event.
